Tuition: Full-time law students at Wa$hington Univer$ity in $t. Loui$ were charged $48,345 in tuition - for the 2013-2014 school year.  It’s nice to see that this commode is looking out for the students’ best interests, right?!?! This figure does not include mandatory fees, which amount to an additional $1,760.  When you include those charges, the price of admission reaches $50,105.

Total Cost of Attendance: Based on the same document, the rodents list the total tuition and living expenses - for 2013-2014 - as $71,285.  By  the way, this total does not include the Student Health Service Insurance Fee of $1,300 - even though all students are required to carry coverage.  Of course, the vermin try to justify these costs by pointing out the following: “Washington University School of Law is a private institution and top law school, and competition to attend is very high.”

Keep in in mind that the law school pigs base living expenses off of a nine-month academic calendar.  Actual law students will require such costs over the full 12 months.  In order to reach a more accurate, total COA, we must prorate the following items: room/board; and personal costs.  Doing so, we reach a total estimate of $78,772 - for the current year. This does not even count the optional parking pass of $480.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings

Ranking: According to US “News” & World Report, WUSTL is rated as the 19th best law school in the country.  It only shares this honor with one other school, i.e. the University of Minnesota.

http://thelastpsychiatrist.com/2011/01/are_law_schools_lying_to_their.html

On January 25, 2011, former Biglaw associate Will Meyerhofer back-handed this toilet, in an article entitled “Are Law Schools Lying to Their Applicants?”  After pointing out that the pigs can charge ridiculous sums of money, due to guaranteed government loans to students, he delivers this forceful slap:

“If it was true supply and demand, #1 ranked Harvard and #100 ranked Hofstra wouldn't have the same tuition. But they do, the same as stupid Washington University, which is so stupid it's in Missouri."It's underrated." Bite me." [Emphasis mine]

http://law.wustl.edu/career_services/employmentdata/2012ABAReport.pdf

Employment Placement Statistics: Here is the link to the Employment Summary for the WUSTL Law Class of 2012.  There were a total of 300 graduates from this cohort.  Of that figure, 276 were hired in some capacity - within nine months of earning their law degree.  One JD did not report his status to the sewer, while 23 were unemployed.  As such, the placement rate was 92.3 percent, i.e. 276/299.

On page one of this PDF, you will notice that the private toilet put 29 graduates from this class in university or law school-funded positions - in order to artificially increase the placement rate.  The cockroaches were able to boost this figure by 9.7%, using this underhanded tactic. Hell, only four of these jobs were full-time and long term!  In contrast, 16 of these posts were part-time and short term.  But the law school pigs care about their students and graduates, don‘t they, Lemming?!?!

A total of 130 members of this class found jobs in private law firms.  However, only 44 of these men and woman landed in offices of more than 500 attorneys - as full-time workers.  Another 10 went into federal clerkships. And this is from the 19th greatest law school in the country!

http://www.thefacultylounge.org/2013/04/a-cleaner-ranking-of-schools-long-term-full-time-employment-minus-law-school-funded-jobs.html#more

On April 10, 2013, Dan Filler posted a Faculty Lounge entry entitled “New Law School Rankings: Employment Data Cleaned Of School Funded Jobs” This article is based off of each ABA-accredited diploma mill’s Class of 2012 ABA Employment Report.  As the text and title make clear, the figures pertain to JD Required positions that are full-time, long term - and exclude law school funded jobs. Under these measures, WUSTL placed 67 percent of its grads in such positions. These are the employment opportunities that one seeks when applying to law school.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+4

Average Law Student Indebtedness:USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Wa$hington Univer$ity JD Class of 2012 who incurred debt for law school - as $117,964. Yet, only 73 percent of this commode’s 2012 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

Conclusion: Washington University Sewer of Law is a grossly overpriced trash heap.  In sum, it is a moist turd with sprinkles on top.  Furthermore, more than a quarter of the graduates from 2012 did not incur one dime of student loan debt for their law degree.  This means that you will also be competing against those who are wealthy and connected, for the available number of attorney jobs.  How will YOU fare, as a person of modest means, when you are essentially required to take on an additional $125K-$170K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - for a chance to enter this GLUTTED “profession”?!?!  If you cannot answer this question honestly and objectively, then you have no business making such a financial decision.

Why Do So Many People Detest the Reprehensible Law School Pigs and Cockroaches?!

http://management.fortune.cnn.com/2014/02/24/law-school-haters/?iid=HP_LN

Mainstream News Source Asks the Big Question: On February 24, 2014, CNN Money published a Maya Itah article labeled “Why do so many people hate law school?”  From the opening:

“You know law schools are deeply troubled when you ask a dean what it feels like to be under constant fire and he answers the question with a question of his own.

"When you say 'coming under fire,' what are we really talking about?" asks John Corkery, dean of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. "Which fire are we talking about?"

You can't blame him for seeking clarity. Truth is, law schools have not merely fallen out of favor in recent years, as jobs have become scarce and unemployment among freshly minted JD graduates has soared. Law schools have become the most despised part of the academy.

Most people associate lawyers with misery: an unfair lawsuit, a divorce. But at least previous attacks had come from outside of the profession. In recent years, plenty of criticism has come from insiders, mostly law school professors who acknowledge that schools have supplied far too many lawyers than the market can absorb, and from graduates who now carry six-figure debt loads and can't get jobs in law.

Corkery's school has been sued by its graduates for embellishing employment prospects. When asked if he considers his position difficult, though, he deflects: "The fire I'm thinking of is that there are a lot less people going to law school," he says.

It's telling that Corkery first lists a problem that afflicts the schools rather than the graduates. He's on the mark about one thing, though: Law schools are trying to put out fires from all directions.” [Emphasis mine]

As I have said for years on this blog - as well as on other sites and forums - the law school pigs DO NOT GIVE ONE DAMN about their students or recent graduates. To the academic thieves, these young men and women are a means to an end, i.e. the cockroaches need asses in seats, in order to get their claws on those federally-backed student loans.

http://www.jmls.edu/directory/faculty/profile.php?lastfirstname=CorkeryJohn

From Pig Face’s Faculty Bio: Click on the link above, in order to access John Corkery’s JML$ page. Take a look at this portion:

“Dean Corkery has testified as an expert witness in matters of professional responsibility and has been a member of the teaching faculty for the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission's Professional Responsibility Institute. He was a member of the Chicago Bar Association's Board of Managers for two years and has been a co-writer of the CBA's annual Gridiron musical, "Christmas Spirits," since 1973. He is the author of Illinois Civil and Criminal Evidence (2000).”

Of course, this piece of human waste wouldn’t know “professional responsibility” if it bit him on his portly ass.  Yet, he may be well-coached in the area of profe$$ional re$pon$iblity.  By the way, does anyone else notice that Cockroach John Corkery resembles a fatter, paler, slightly retarded version of John Lithgow?!?!  In fact, he seems even crazier than the actor’s oddball character portrayals.

Other Reasons Why People Despise Law School:

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Look at these average law student indebtedness figures for the JD Class of 2012.  Remember, these totals do not include interest that accrues while the student is enrolled for three years.  It also does not take debt from undergrad into account.  Yet, this average amount of additional debt stood at $168,800 - for this cohort at FOURTH TIER TRASH PIT TTTThoma$ Jeffer$on Sewer of Law! Yes, who wouldn’t want to take on such filthy debt from a garbage heap, right?!?!

http://www.nalp.org/uploads/NationalSummaryChart2012.pdf

According to the NALP Class of 2012 National Summary Report, 84.7 percent of this massive cohort was employed within nine months of graduation. Of course, this figure includes non-law positions, attorney jobs, part-time and full-time work, plus long term and temporary posts.  If you worked at State Farm or tended bar, you were considered "employed."

Overall, there were 46,364 members of the JD Class of 2012 – competing for a total of 28,567 jobs labeled “bar passage required.” Keep in mind that not all of those positions were traditional attorney openings. Then again, only 45,434 graduates had their info sent to NALP. Using the entire class size, a mere 61.6% of all JDs ended up finding such legal work, i.e. 28,567/46,364.

http://www.bls.gov/ooh/Legal/Lawyers.htm

From the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, under Job Outlook:

“Employment of lawyers is expected to grow by 10 percent from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Competition for jobs should continue to be strong because more students are graduating from law school each year than there are jobs available.” [Emphasis mine]

For $ome rea$on, the swine continue to squeal "There is going to be a shortage of lawyers soon, due to so many Boomers getting ready to retire." The lying bitches and hags are simply ignoring reality.  What beacons of integrity, huh?!?!

Conclusion: The law schools have been exposed as diploma mills, by various online critics.  Now that college grads have access to better information, ABA-accredited trash pits - such as Fourth Tier John Marshall Law Sewer - are having a much harder time attracting applicants and students.  Hell, this is also the case for decent schools.  You are welcome, bitches.

In the end, law students and graduates have effectively sandblasted the toilets - armed with the facts, figures and justified anger.  You don’t see too many blogs from dental, medical or veterinary students telling you how badly their school sucks filthy goat balls, do you?!  SKYROCKETING tuition - coupled with pathetic job prospects and lies from the pigs, as well as a lack of learning hard skills - has caused people to speak up about the law school scam.  The “educators” expect these financial rape victims to simply keep their mouths shut.  Now, the only thing these bastards/perpetrators can look forward to is getting pummeled in return, for their horrid conduct.

First Tier Toilet George Washington University Law School Lowers Its Admissions Standards, in Order to Get Asses in Seats

http://www.gwhatchet.com/2014/03/03/law-school-becomes-less-selective/

More Great News!: On March 3, 2014, the GW Hatchet published staff writer Jacqueline Thomsen’s piece labeled “Law school becomes less selective.”  This is an independent, student newspaper at George Wa$hington Univer$ity.  Look at this opening:

“If you want a spot in the No. 21 law school in the country, it’s now a lot easier to get in.

Forty-two percent of applicants secured admission to the GW Law School last year – eroding selectivity by 13 percentage points in a single year as the school tried to amass tuition dollars despite declining application numbers.

But the numbers show an even more extreme picture of how the school's admissions have changed over the past few years. In 2004, GW Law School accepted just 17 percent of applicants, a standard that helped it rise in the rankings and maintain elite status.

Accepting more applicants last year enabled the college to grow its incoming class by one-fifth after record-low enrollment cut into tuition revenue. The college has also had to foot $2 million to $3 million a year to pay stipends to recent graduates who can only find short-term, unpaid legal jobs.

Gregory Maggs, the school’s interim dean, and Sophia Sim, the assistant dean of admissions, declined to comment last week on whether they were concerned by the increase, what selectivity meant for the school or their plans moving forward.” [Emphasis mine]

Yes, you read that correctly.  The supposed 21st greatest law school in the nation accepted 42% of applicants last year!  According to this article, back in 2004, this figure stood at a mere 17 percent.  This represents a 147% increase in acceptance rate from 2004, i.e. (42-17/17)100.

This post also contained the following gem:

“GW’s yield rate – the number of students who accept an offer of admission – also dropped this year to 16.7 percent, the lowest the school has seen in at least a decade.

Other schools, like New York and Emory universities, have opted to shrink the size of their law schools, in part because of the decline in legal jobs. Less than half of the GW Law School’s Class of 2012 secured full-time salaried jobs nine months after graduation.

Only one peer school, American University, saw a bigger slide in its selectivity than GW's. Southern Methodist University’s law school had the next biggest jump, increasing its acceptance rate by 7 percentage points this fall.” [Emphasis mine]

How do you like that, bitches?!?! College graduates and the general public now have much better information about your overpriced, garbage product.  As a result, they are less inclined to consign themselves to a lifetime of soul-crushing debt - for a piece of paper from your commode.  Again, less than half of this toilet’s 2012 graduating class landed full-time salaried positions - within nine months of receiving their degrees.

http://www.thefacultylounge.org/2013/04/a-cleaner-ranking-of-schools-long-term-full-time-employment-minus-law-school-funded-jobs.html#more

Real Legal Job Placement: On April 10, 2013, Dan Filler posted a Faculty Lounge entry entitled “New Law School Rankings: Employment Data Cleaned Of School Funded Jobs” This article is based off of each ABA-accredited diploma mill’s Class of 2012 ABA Employment Report.  As the text and title make clear, the figures pertain to JD Required positions that are full-time, long term - and exclude law school funded jobs.

Under these measures, George Washington University Law Sewer has the 76th best placement rate, with 60.35% of 2012 grads landing real jobs.  The following ABA-accredited trash pits had better employment outcomes for their students: Mercer University; Campbell University; $eTTon Haul; University of South Dakota; Northern Illinois University; Florida International; Texas Tech; University of New Hampshire; University of Arkansas-Little Rock. Who wouldn’t consider this a tremendous accomplishment?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+2

Average Law Student Indebtedness:US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the George Wa$hington Univer$ity JD Class of 2012 who incurred debt for law school - as $128,341. Then again, only 84 percent of this commode’s 2012 class took on such foul debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

Conclusion: The pigs at “The” George Wa$hington Univer$ity Law Sewer are starting to feel the heat.  In sum, they have consciously decided to lower admi$$ions “standards,” in order to increase enrollment.  What beacons of integrity, huh?!?!  Keep in mind that this dung heap has the 76th highest placement rate - for real legal jobs - yet is $omehow rated as the 21st best law school in the country, by US “News” & World Report.

In the final analysis, the law school swine have been pummeled with facts, charts, graphs, industry statements, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, etc.  In response, the bastards can only muster a few weak-ass, baseless claims, i.e. “There will soon be a shortage of lawyers.”  If the bitches and hags at this toilet become any less selective in their admi$$ion$ process, then they will soon start accepting half of their applicants.  Thank all of you for helping to make this possible.  We still aim to put the academic thieves’ faces, snouts and carcasses in the ground.

Crooklyn Chronicles: Brooklyn Law School Pigs Liquidate Assets in Order to Get More Cash

http://therealdeal.com/blog/2014/02/21/kushner-snaps-up-brooklyn-law-school-portfolio-for-36-5m/

The Swine Sell Off Housing Units: On February 21, 2014, the Real Deal published Katherine Clarke’s piece, “Kushner snaps up Brooklyn Law School portfolio for $36.5M.”  Look at this portion:

“Today, Brooklyn Law School executed a contract and accepted a deposit for the sale of six of our smaller properties,” Nick Allard, dean of the law school, told TRD via email. “The Board of Trustees authorized the sale because with a smaller student body we need fewer apartments to meet the housing needs of our students.”

The school decided to liquidate assets at this “opportune time in the real estate market,” he said.” [Emphasis mine]

The freestanding commode publicly acknowledged that there are fewer idiots enrolled at Crooklyn Law School.  The board of tru$tee$ is doing what they can to keep the turd above water.

http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20131015/FINANCE/131019936

Brooklyn Law Sewer’s Prior Financial Situation: Back on Octoner 15, 2013, Crain’s New York Business posted an article from Theresa Agovino, which was entitled “Brooklyn Law School faces debt downgrade.”  Check out this opening:

“Standard & Poor's on Tuesday warned Brooklyn Law School that the institution needed to reverse its financial decline or face higher borrowing costs.

In a report, the credit ratings agency lowered its outlook on the school's debt, issued by the New York State Dormitory, to negative from stable. The lowered outlook means the rating agency believes there is a one in three chance it could downgrade the debt, and the decision on whether to change the BBB+ rated debt could come within the next two years if Brooklyn Law's fiscal problems don’t improve.

In a statement, a spokesman for the law school acknowledged S&P’s concerns but added, “We are highly confident that, despite these challenges, Brooklyn Law School will continue to do well.” He also noted that Moody’s Investors Service reconfirmed a stable outlook on the school’s debt two months ago.

Law schools in recent years have seen steep drops in enrollment and tuition revenue and the ratings agency said that trend could continue for the next two years. Brooklyn law has been especially hard hit. Headcount decreased 10% to 1,137 this fall from a year ago and 22% over the last three years, the ratings agency said.

Competition for students has led to discounts on tuition. Even though full-time tuition increased 2.5% at the school this year to $51,243, the school has increased the amount it offers in grants or scholarships to 37%, compared to 15% in 2007, according to S&P.” [Emphasis mine]

Of course, the sale of the trash pit’s property has nothing to do with this prior debt downgrade, right?!?! This must merely be one hell of a coincidence!

http://www.brooklynpaper.com/stories/36/25/dtg_brooklynlawsale_2013_06_21_bk.html

Crooklyn Buildings on the Market Since June 2013: On June 19, 2013, the Brooklyn Paper featured a Jaime Lutz article labeled “You have the right to sell: Brooklyn Law to unload six Heights buildings.”  Focus on the following excerpt:

“Brooklyn Law School is selling six of its student housing buildings in Brooklyn Heights.

Realtor Massey Knakal announced yesterday that the 114-year-old institution has put the residences, which, combined, could be valued at more than $41 million on the market — and is pitching them as a landlord’s dream.” [Emphasis mine]

Yes, this is a clear sign of stability, huh?!?! Law school critics have been very effective in spreading the truth to prospective students.

http://www.newyorklawjournal.com/id=1202604375772?slreturn=20140209230425

Pig Wexler Stepped Down Last Summer: The New York Law Journal published a piece from Joel Stashenko, entitled “Departure of President Leaves Dean in Charge at Brooklyn Law” - on June 17, 2013.  This stub is still available on the link above:

“Joan Wexler will step down at the end of this month as Brooklyn Law School president, a position she took in 2010 after serving 16 years as the school's dean, the chairman of Brooklyn Law's board of trustees announced Thursday. Dean Nicholas Allard, who was hired last July, will now have sole responsibility for running the 1,000-student school.”

Apparently, the rats didn’t waste any time trying to sell off some of their assets.  The academic thieves at this ABA-accredited dung heap are trying to stay feasible.

Conclusion: In the final analysis,80th rankedBrooklyn Law Sewer is struggling to stay afloat.  The law school cockroaches riding on this pile of moist excrement simply do not have much room for error, since it is not attached to a college or univer$ity.  Then again, this chronological series of events may not be significant.  After all, the pigs claim that the school is in good shape.  And fundamentally dishonest, $elf-$erving “law professors” and deans should be taken at their word when it comes to their filthy industry, correct?!?!

Outrageous Law School Debt Rankings - for the JD Class of 2013 - Have Been Released

$

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Top Ten Biggest Financial Rapists in “Legal Education”: As reported to, and published by, US “News” & World Report, here  are the biggest offenders.  The following figures pertain to “average indebtedness of 2013 graduates who incurred law school debt.”  The percentage of the class that incurred debt for law school is included next to the amount:

Thomas Jefferson School of Law: $180,665; 92%
New York Law School: $164,739; 84%
American University (Washington): $158,636; 88%
California Western School of Law: $157,748; 90%
Northwestern University: $155,777; 78%
Whittier College: $154,267; 92%
University of Chicago: $153,753; 85%
Florida Coastal School of Law: $150,360; 91%
St. Thomas University: $150,166; 91%
University of Miami: $148,513; 79% [Emphasis mine]

Keep in mind that the debt totals above do not include the amount of student loans taken out for undergrad. They also do not take into account the interest that accrues while the victim/student is enrolled.  At these ridiculous, monstrous sums, you will be relying on private loans to fund much of your garbage “education.”

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings

There is No Correlation to “Quality” of School: Take a look at the latest edition of the law school rankings scheme from USN&WR.  University of Chicago is tied for 4th best, and Northwestern is rated 12th in the country.  The University of Miami settled at 61st, and American University Washington Commode of Law splashed all the way down to the 72nd spot.  New York Law $chool is listed as the140th greatest, most phenomenal and amazing law school in the land.

The following five toilets are ranked in the FOURTH TIER: California We$TTTTern $chool of Law; Florida Coastal Sewer of Law; St. Thomas “University”; TTTThoma$ Jeffer$on SOL; and Whittier College.  That is an incredible achievement, huh?!?!

http://lawschooltuitionbubble.wordpress.com/2014/03/11/record-14-law-schools-didnt-report-2013-graduate-debt-to-u-s-news/

Other Coverage: Matt Leichter wrote a solid LSTB entry entitled “Record 14 Law Schools Didn’t Report 2013 Graduate Debt to US News.”  Look at his analysis and accompanying chart:

“Each year, accompanying the U.S. News rankings is the online magazine’s list of law schools by graduate debt. The law schools are required to report this information to the ABA, but the ABA inexplicably doesn’t release it to the public, even though it’s one of the most useful things people studying law schools would like to know about. Instead, the ABA takes an unweighted average of the numbers and posts it in this pdf. Thus, for some reason, we must rely on U.S. News, and of course, law schools can decline to transmit their graduates’ average debt numbers.

On average, about four law schools (excluding Widener University’s Harrisburg campus, the three Puerto Rico law schools, and Belmont because I don’t think it’s had any graduates yet) don’t report average graduate debt levels. The previous record was six in 2010. This year, as many as fourteen chose not to. Here’s the list and their last reported average graduate debt levels:

Arizona Summit (formerly Phoenix) – $162,627 [UPDATE: Per the comments below, Arizona Summit Law School's Web site posts its 2012-13 graduates' average amount borrowed as $184,825.]
Southwestern – $147,976
Atlanta’s John Marshall – $142,515
Cornell – $140,000
Touro – $137,781
Campbell – $130,428
Santa Clara – $129,621
Loyola (La.) – $124,335
Thomas M. Cooley – $122,395
Appalachian – $114,740
La Verne – $112,628
Texas Southern – $99,992
Florida A&M (two years in a row) – $96,934
Rutgers-Camden – $93,990 [Emphasis in original]

Leichter pays close attention to detail, and he researches his posts thoroughly before publishing.  The writing is clear and concise.  If you are still considering pursuing a law degree, and you choose to ignore his data or that contained in the other scam-blogs, then you deserve to be in financial ruin.

Conclusion: If you are not wealthy or SERIOUSLY connected and you believe that it is a wise decision to attend law school, then you truly are a cretin.  You should not be entrusted to watch someone's goldfish over the weekend.  I seriously doubt that you have the mental capacity to dress yourself in the morning.  Furthermore, it is obvious that the 14 ABA-accredited trash pits that WILLINGLY CHOSE to not supply their debt figures are merely trying to pull one over on dimwitted applicants.  Would you purchase a car from some ass-clown in a cheap suit, if he concealed certain information about the automobile - such as the fact that it had been involved in a serious accident?!?!  Then why in the hell would you incur $145K-$200K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt for a sorry-ass law degree from a festering garbage heap?!  Grow a brain stem and do something useful with your life.

First Tier Road Apple: University of North Carolina School of Law

http://www.law.unc.edu/admissions/financing/tuition/

Tuition: North Carolina residents attending this public toilet on a full-time basis will be charged $22,215 in tuition and fees - for the 2013-2014 school year.  Full-time, out-of-state students will be ass-raped at the rate of $38,846, for the current academic year.  It’s great to see that these “educators” are looking out for their students’ best interests, right?!?!

Total Cost of Attendance: According to this same document, other costs will amount to an additional $22,768.  As such, the total estimated COA for in-state residents is listed as $44,983 - whereas non-residents will face a budget of $61,614.  Again, this is for one damn year!  Keep in mind that the bitches and hags base their estimates on a nine month calendar - in order to present a lower price tag.

Since actual law students will require living expenses over the full year, we will pro-rate the following items: room and board; travel; and miscellaneous costs.  Books/supplies and insurance will remain unchanged.  After making these adjustments, we reach the following, more accurate total figures for the current year: $51,671 for full-time, in-state residents and $68,302 for out-of-state suckers enrolled full-time. Who wouldn’t jump at this tremendous deal, huh?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+2

Ranking: Vagina Bob Morse of US “News” & World Report rates the University of North Carolina Sewer of Law as the 31st greatest, most phenomenal, and amazing law school in the entire nation.  Hell, it only shares this distinction with four other ABA-accredited, diploma mills, i.e. Arizona State, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Wake Forest.

http://www.law.unc.edu/documents/career/employmentdata/abareport2013.pdf

Published Employment Placement Statistics: There were a total of 248 members of the UNC $chool of Law Class of 2013.  Of that amount, 206 found employment within nine months of graduation.  Eight people did not bother to report their status to the garbage heap.  Five grads were pursuing another graduate degree, while 23 were unemployed and seeking and eight more were not searching for jobs.

This means that a mere 85% of this cohort was employed within the nine month mark, i.e. 204/240.  Remember that this number includes those working in non-law positions, as well as those employed in part-time or temporary jobs.  If you earned a law degree from this dung pit - and are working at PetSmart or selling insurance policies - then you are considered “employed” for the purpose of this summary.

Furthermore, the pigs hired nine of their own graduates from this class.  Doing so, the rodents increased their placement rate by 3.75 percent. Then again, the swine may have done so because they care so much about their former students.  Also note that of the 106 grads who found law firm employment, only 26 were hired by offices of more than 500 attorneys.  In sum, your chance of landing such a position - at the 31st best law school in the country - is roughly 10.5%, i.e. 26/248.

Average Law Student Indebtedness:USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Univer$ity of North Carolina $chool of Law Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $92,726. In fact, 81 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

http://ncjolt.org/about/

Journal Opportunities: As a law student at UNC, you will have a shot at writing onto the “world-renowned” North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology.  From the commode’s description:

“About

The North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology (“NC JOLT”) was founded in 1999 at the University of North Carolina School of Law. Our mission is to provide legal scholarship focusing on the many intersections between law and technology. We define technology very broadly, covering issues in intellectual property law, cyberspace law, environmental law, criminal law, health law, privacy law, and any other subject area where the sciences and law converge.

Now in its fifteenth volume, NC JOLT has gained national recognition as one of the top intellectual property journals in the country, according to Patently-O. As a student-run journal, we take pride in producing influential legal scholarship. NC JOLT publishes one print and one online edition at the end of each academic semester. Both editions feature full-length professional articles submitted to the journal, as well as student-written comments and recent developments prepared by our staff.”

Legal employers and beautiful women will climb all over you, if you mention that you are a student editor of this publicaTTTion!  [Disclaimer: nothing of the sort will happen, simpleton.]

Conclusion: In the final analysis, the University of North Carolina Sewer of Law is a grossly overpriced, rancid pile of horse droppings.  Don’t forget that nearly one-fifth of the last graduating class did not take out a single dime in student loans for this academic credential.  If you are not from a wealthy family, then you are at a severe disadvantage with these kids.  You will essentially be required to incur an additional $120K-$140K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - and compete against these young men and women for the available good jobs.  Good luck with that task, dumbass.

Fourth Tier Dung Heap Appalachian School of Law is Involuntarily Reducing Staff and Class Sizes

Excellent News!: On March 18, 2014, the Roanoke Times re-posted an Allie Robinson Gibson piece, under the epic headline “Appalachian School of Law to scale back classes, staff.”  Check out this opening:

“A national decline in applicants to law schools and a desire to return to local roots led to a law school’s announcement this week that it will downsize its incoming class of students and tighten its budget belt in other ways.

The Appalachian School of Law in Grundy will whittle down class sizes until they’re more in line with the number accepted when the school opened about 16 years ago, Lucy McGough, dean of the law school, said Tuesday.

“We were about 150 to 200 students when Appalachian Law School was founded, now 16 years ago, and then we rode the rising tide like all other American law schools and grew larger,” she said. “At one time, we had a student body approaching double that, near 300.”

McGough said the school is experiencing a decline in applications, and some of the things added during the school’s expansion have been trimmed.

“[We’re] returning to a smaller school because that’s probably closer to our mission in any event,” she said. “We’re a school … principally for the Appalachian region, a six-state region. The choice to keep it the same size would mean you’d have to take applicants of lesser quality. Given our choices, we think it’s better to return to our roots.” [Emphasis mine]

I laughed so hard when I saw this stupid boar’s comment about refusing to take “applicants of lesser quality,” I nearly had tears in my eyes.  Apparently, Cockroach McGough is not aware that her commode accepts 71 percent of its applicants! Hell, starving humans are more selective in what they choose to eat.

http://appalachian.lawschoolnumbers.com/

According to Law School Numbers, the median LSAT score of enrolled students was 146, while the median UGPA stood at an astounding 2.94! Hell, you could submit a picture of your girlfriend’s feet on your Personal Statement, and underneath the photo scrawl “I like cookies!” in red crayon, and likely gain admission to this festering dung heap.

http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2013/541/743/2013-541743079-09cf82fc-9.pdf

The Toilet’s Small Endowment: Based on page one, line 12, of the 2013 Form 990 for this pile of excrement, the school received $7,633,055 in total revenue.  On line 18, you will notice that the swine had total expenses of $7,380,681 - for the tax year ending on June 30, 2013.  Line 19 shows Revenue Less Expenses coming out to $252,694.

Go to line 20 of the first page.  You will see that the trash pit had $29,110,621 in end of year total assets, offset by $880,744 in total liabilities.  As such, the pile of rubbish had a mere endowment of $28,229,877 - as of June 30, 2013.

Of course, this didn’t stop the ABA-accredited toilet from paying its dean, Lucy McGough, a sum of $205,600 - in TOTAL COMPENSATION for this particular tax year.  The wildebeest raked in $175,000 in base compensation plus $30,600 in “retirement and other deferred compensation.”  That information is available on page 27 of this tax form.

http://archives.cnn.com/2002/US/01/16/law.school.shooting/

On Campus Shooting by a Crazy Bastard Appalachian Sewer of Law Student - on January 16, 2002 - Resulted in Three Dead Victims: Please read this CNN article from January 17, 2002. The piece was titled "Suspect in law school shootings arraigned." Here is one of the key excerpts, from this report:

"Peter Odighizuwa, 43, did not enter a plea. A judge ordered a attorney appointed for him and set a court date for March 21.

Authorities said that Odighizuwa, who had flunked out of law school, opened fire with a .380 semiautomatic handgun just after 1 p.m. ET Wednesday.

One of those killed was the dean of Appalachian School of Law, L. Anthony Sutin, 42 - a former acting assistant U.S. attorney general.

Killed along with Sutin were another faculty member, professor Thomas Blackwell, 41, and a student, Angela Denise Dales, 33, according to state police." [Emphasis mine]

This shooting rampage occurred while the filthy, vile, decrepit commode was provisionally accredited by the American Bar Association cockroaches.  Yet, those parasites subsequently proceeded to grant full accreditation to this dung heap! Apparently, the pieces of garbage wanted to make sure that the two academic parasites did not “die in vain.”

Conclusion: This is an important moment in the law school scam, as this could signal that this trash pile could close down.  First, this is an independent $chool.  It is not connected to a larger univer$ity or college.  Second, the endowment is tiny, relative to that of most schools.  In sum, this school needs a larger enrollment, in order to make more money.  If it reduces the number of students/victims, then it will receive less revenue via the federally-backed student loan $y$tem.  Appalachian Sewer of Law does not have much room for error, and the swine cannot sustain many years of low enrollment - especially when the jackals insist on outrageous compensation for their minimal “work.”  In the end, the pigs are cutting their own throats.  And we will be there to shove an apple in their mouth and barbecue their asses!

More Academic Excrement Flushed Away: State University of New York at Buffalo Law School Announces Faculty Downsizing

Suck on That, Law School Pigs!: On March 18, Buffalo Business First published reporter Dan Miner’s piece, which was labeled “Downsizing planned for UB Law School.”  Check out this fantastic opening:

“The University at Buffalo Law School is shrinking its faculty footprint and decreasing the size of its incoming classes, Dean Makau Mutua said.

UB has not been immune from the national struggles facing U.S. law schools, as applications have plummeted against the backdrop of a profession that has struggled mightily since the recession.

Mutua said the school will ease its ideal freshman class size from 200-225 to 185-200 in order to maintain the quality of its students.

Additionally, UB has offered retirement incentives to faculty over the age of 55. Mutua said eight people will accept, reducing the faculty from about 48 to about 40.

Mutua said the retirement incentives will allow the law school to avoid layoffs.

“These are valued colleagues who have been with us a long time and made many wonderful contributions,” he said. “So we wanted to do it in a way that was mutually [beneficial].”

Cutting class sizes and faculty has become a standard move at American law schools, where applications have dropped more than 47 percent from 87,500 in fall 2010 [to] 59,400 in 2013, according to Law School Admission Council. At UB law school, the number of applicants dropped from 1,894 to 1,146 in that same range.” [Emphasis mine]

It feels great to watch these pigs burn to a crisp!  Think of the LEGIONS of students that these sewer rats have collectively raped financially, over the course of several decades.  If you still have any sympathy for these academic thieves, then you truly are a moronic piece of garbage.

Of course, Cockroach Makau Mutua felt the need to orally defecate at the end of the article:

“[The ABA-accredited trash pit] has also sought to modernize its home at O’Brian Hall on the North Campus. About $2.5 million has been spent refurbishing the space, with technological, logistic and aesthetic upgrades, Mutua said.

There is also an overriding sense that the both the legal and legal education industries have hit their lowest point and are due for at least some correction.

“While these changes are historic in their magnitude, I think we’ve seen the bottom of it,” Mutua said. “I think the market is coming back and we are stabilizing. I think the future looks bright for us.” [Emphasis mine]

In the end, this is delusional thinking.  For instance, I don’t believe that if I hit the weight room and run more often, that the San Francisco Giants – or Salma Hayek - will give me a call.  The again, the law school swine are actually attempting to further deceive applicants – by trying to inject some false confidence about the commode’s future.

Other Coverage: Staci Zaretsky posted a hilarious ATL entry entitled “The Future At This Law School Is So ‘Bright’ That It Has to Offer Buyouts.”  Read the following excerpt:

“Another day, another law school administrator talking out of both sides of his mouth. Sure, his law school is reducing its faculty numbers because there isn’t enough tuition money to pay their salaries, but everything is going to be fine. According to this dean, “I think the market is coming back and we are stabilizing. I think the future looks bright for us.”

Which law school is politely pushing its older faculty members out the door this time?

It’s none other than the hundredth-best law school in the country (in a four-way tie), SUNY Buffalo Law. In a three-year period, applicants to Buffalo have dropped from 1,894 to 1,146. Ouch, that’s got to sting a little.” [Emphasis mine]

In the end, who cares if a vile pig squeals when you skewer it’s ass?!?!  In a just world, these bastards would be hog-tied and tossed into a river of their own foul excrement.

The Cesspool’s Ranking: In the latest edition of the US “News” & World Report ratings scheme, SUNY Buffalo Law Sewer is listed as the co-100th greatest, most exhilarating and amazing law school in the land!  Their mothers must be thrilled.

Pathetic Legal Job Placement: On April 10, 2013, Dan Filler posted a Faculty Lounge entry entitled “New Law School Rankings: Employment Data Cleaned Of School Funded Jobs” This article is based off of each ABA-accredited diploma mill’s Class of 2012 ABA Employment Report.

As the text and title make clear, the figures pertain to JD Required positions that are full-time, long term - and exclude law school funded jobs. Under these measures, SUNY Buffalo Law School placed 52.15 percent of its grads in such positions.  Keep in mind that these are the employment opportunities that one seeks when applying to law school.  By the way, this figure was good enough for 116th “best” among the 201 toilets listed.

Conclusion: You will not be served well by attending this garbage heap.  Perhaps, if your family is seriously connected or wealthy – and you were simply too damn dumb to get into a real law school, despite all of your advantages – then you may be okay.  You do not need to piss away three years of your life, in the foolish pursuit of an advanced Humanities degree.

Second Tier Orange Vomit: University of Tennessee College of Law

Tuition: Tennessee residents attending this trash pit on a full-time basis will be charged $16,078 in tuition – for the 2013-2014 school year.  The unfortunate souls who moved to Knoxville, from out of state, to attend this dung heap full-time will be ass-raped at the rate of $35,422 in tuition, for the current academic year.

Fees will add another $2,884 to the big-ass tab, for in-state law students.  Non-residents will have $3,184 tacked onto their bill. It’s nice to see that public schools are looking out for their students’ best interests, right?!?!

Estimated Cost of Attendance: Based on this same page, the bitches and hags list a total estimate of $39,978 for Tennessee residents – and $57,722 for out of state, full-time law students.  Keep in mind that ABA-accredited diploma mills only take nine-month expenses into account.

Seeing that actual law students will require costs over the full calendar year, we will prorate the following items: room & board; transportation; and miscellaneous expenses.  Doing so, we reach the more accurate estimated COA for the current year as $44,996 for in-state students – and $63,740 for non-residents! Imagine the type of job you would need to land simply to justify the cost of attending this cesspool.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+4

Ranking: As you can see, US “News” & World Report rates the Univer$iTTy of TTenne$$ee Commode of Law as the 72nd greatest, most fantastic and amazing law school in the whole damn country. Hell, it only shares this “distinct honor” with the following SIX toilets: American University; Chicago-Kent; Lewis & Clark College; LSU; New Mexico; and Tulsa.  What a tremendous accomplishment, huh?!?!

http://law.utk.edu/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/U-of-Tennessee-NALP-Summary-for-the-Class-of-2012.pdf

Employment Placement Data: According to the sweltering trash pile’s Class of 2012 Summary Report, there were 155 members of this cohort.  Only three graduates did not bother to furnish their status to the school.  Of that amount, 125 responded that they were employed - in some capacity - within nine months of receiving their law degree.  That is a mere 82.2% placement rate, i.e. 125/152.

Furthermore, on page three of this PDF, you will notice that 76 grads reported working in private law firms.  Six desperate fools went into sole practices, while another 25 were hired by firms with 2-10 attorneys.  In stark contrast, a total of seven JDs found employment in firms of 251-500 lawyers – while one member of this graduating class landed a spot in a firm of more than 500 attorneys. Do you still like your odds, Dumbass?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+7

Average Law Student Indebtedness:US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Univer$iTTy of TTenne$$ee JD Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $72,887. Also, only 74 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such putrid debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

http://data.tennessean.com/DB/dbc/utsalaries08.php?mode=1&sr=0&pg=20&sf=&sd=&location=Knoxville&locationOP=LK&title=Professor&titleOP=LK&dept=Law&deptOP=LK&name=&nameOP=LK

Piggish Law Faculty Compensation: Let’s see how well the law school swine are making out – in juxtaposition to the broke, debt-strapped students and graduates– courtesy of the Tennessean.  Enter Law under Department, and choose the Knoxville campus.  There, you will note that Douglas Blaze made $225,000 in annual salary.  In 2007-2008, the cockroach raked in $172,345. Joseph G. Cook, listed as a nine-month faculty member, rolled around in $183,083 in yearly compensation.  Dean Hill Rivkin and his bulbous nose “earned” $192,000 as a supposed “Distinguished professor of law.”

Does anybody with a shred of honesty and integrity want to defend this sick $y$tem?!?! Again, the “professors” and banksters have no skin in the game.  The debt is federally-backed.  Those loans MUST be repaid.  The student or graduate cannot hope to have the debt set aside in bankruptcy court.  Even gambling addicts have this option.  Yet, the academic pigs who perform such a pathetic amount of “work” are richly rewarded for consigning a generation into a lifetime of debt servitude.

Conclusion: Avoid this horrendous stench pit, as if your life depended on it, Lemming.  There is NO NEED to incur an additional $85K-$130K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, in order to get a chance at a decent job.  By the way, genius: slightly more than one-quarter of the last UT Commode of Law graduating class did not take on another cent in student loans.  Good luck competing against those boys and girls for jobs, dolt.

Those kids can simply rely on daddy to make a few phone calls to get them a nice-ass job.   Can you say the same, Stupid?!  If not, then what the hell are you doing in law school – well after the U.S. lawyer job market has gone down the sewer?!?!  Are you the type of person who needs warning labels on the side of paint cans?  If you want to piss away some money, pay me $10,000 to kick you in the face.  At least then, you won’t ruin your future – and you will spare three years of your life.

Smells of Second Tier Desperation: Brooklyn Law School Pigs Announce Plan to Reduce Tuition by 15 Percent!

$

http://www.brooklaw.edu/newsandevents/news/2014/04-03-2014.aspx?

The Announcement: The 83rd “best” law school in the country - according to Vagina Bob Morse of US “News” & World Report - published a press release labeled “Brooklyn Law School Announces 15% Tuition Cut, Initiatives to Address Law School Accessibility and Affordability” on March 2, 2014.  Try to read the following excerpt, without laughing your ass off:

“Brooklyn Law School’s (BLS) Board of Trustees today announced a 15 percent across-the-board tuition reduction, beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year. The cost reduction program further enhances an evolving package of student-centric initiatives designed to address the national challenges of law school accessibility, affordability, and quality.

Today’s announcement follows last year’s decision by BLS to freeze 2014 tuitions at 2013 levels. It marks an aggressive effort to address law school affordability and signals a significant step toward greater accessibility and diversity in legal education, according to Nicholas W. Allard, Joseph Crea Dean and Professor of Law.” [Emphasis mine]

Of course, the cockroaches seek to spin this as a benevolent move from a financially-sound in$TTiTTion of “higher learning.”  Yes, because law schools truly care about their victims, right?!?! By the way, the term “student-centric” is fabricated nonsense.  Anyone who buys this garbage should be immediately declared too dumb to enter into a contract.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2014/04/03/brooklyn-law-school-plans-to-cut-tuition-by-15-percent/

Other Coverage: On April 3, 2014, CBS New York, i.e. WCBS 880, ran a segment from Alex Silverman labeled “Brooklyn Law School Plans to Cut Tuition by 15 Percent.”  Look at this opening:

“The cost of an education seems like it’s rising by the minute, but one law school in New York City is lowering tuition.

Brooklyn Law School plans to cut tuition by 15 percent to $45,850 a year, starting next fall. It currently is nearly $54,000.

Brooklyn Law School Dean Nicholas Allard said prospective students are terrified of taking on enormous debt.

“There’s too few people in America who can either afford to go to law school or who can afford a lawyer,” Allard told 1010 WINS. “The skyrocketing tuitions at law schools are what’s keeping many people who are well-qualified from entering law school and they’re also contributing directly to the high cost of legal services for newly-minted lawyers.”

The private institution’s applications have declined since before the recession. He didn’t provide numbers. The school currently has about 1,200 students.” [Emphasis mine]

Then again, Cockroach Joshua Ray Adams - from the Crooklyn Law Class of 2013 - is fine with owing $300K in total student debt, while also admitting that he makes less than $30K per year.  How do you like this announcement from your ABA-accredited cesspool, Bitch?!?!

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/05/business/bold-bid-to-combat-a-crisis-in-legal-education.html?_r=0

The New York Times featured James B. Stewart’s piece, “A Bold Bid to Combat a Crisis in Legal Education” - on March 4, 2014.  Read this portion:

“Brooklyn Law School is hardly alone in facing a crisis in legal education. Five law schools have closed in the last two years, more than at any other time in American history.

But this week, it announced that it was taking some unusually bold steps to confront the crisis: The school is cutting tuition and abandoning what has become a widespread obsession with climbing the ladder of national law school rankings.

The combination of slumping demand for lawyers and ever-rising tuition has cast a pall on law school applications, which fell to 54,000 last year, from 100,000 in 2004. A generation of new lawyers is struggling under a crushing debt burden.“Every law school dean is talking about this, and every bar association is talking about this issue,” the dean of Brooklyn Law School, Nicholas Allard, told me this week.” [Emphasis mine]

Remember when mainstream news publications were not using terms as “crushing debt burden” when describing “legal education”?  It is great to see that we have been so effective in kicking the swine’s asses, armed with the truth.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+4

Average Law Student Indebtedness:USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Crooklyn Law Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $109,914. Furthermore, 76 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such putrid debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

Conclusion: This tuition reduction is a mere marketing ploy, designed to foster some positive attention from the media and potential applicants.  If the rats running this horrendous sewage pit really cared about the students, then they would slash tuition to around $15K per year.  However, that would require actual sacrifice on the part of these  “educators.”

Again, this cut does not go into effect until the 2015-2016 school year.  Plus, the filthy commode will still be charging those poor bastards/students a sum of $45,850 in annual tuition.  Yes, how gracious of them, huh?!?!  Instead of shoving a Louisville Slugger up your anus, Brooklyn Law Sewer will only cram a New York City phone book up your ass.  The result is essentially the same for the recipient.

ABA Cockroaches Release the JD Class of 2013 Employment Report

http://lawschooltuitionbubble.wordpress.com/2014/04/09/class-of-2013-employment-report/

The Lawyer Job Market Still Reeks: On April 9, 2014, Matt Leichter published an epic blog post entitled “Class of 2013 Employment Report.”  From the author’s opening:

“The ABA has released its employment data for the class of 2013, which is defined as everyone who graduated between September 1, 2012, and August 1, 2013. Employment data are outcomes as of February 15, 2014, irrespective of interim job changes…For those who are truly curious, the ABA has even broken down the employment data for each of Cooley’s branch campuses. There are a few other traps for the unwary, e.g. schools that haven’t received even provisional ABA accreditation, like Lincoln Memorial. Even Peking China made the list. None of these schools have any useful data.

Generally, graduates fared little better this year than last year. 57 percent were employed full-time/long-term in bar-passage required jobs. This is up 0.8 percentage points from February 2013.

On the other hand, the graduate unemployment rate grew while the non-response rate declined. [Emphasis mine]

Later on, Leichter provides a chart of each ABA-accredited diploma mill - by their placement rates for grads in full-time, long-term positions that require bar passage, minus law school or university-funded positions.  Take a look at the following trash pits, by Class of 2013 employment ranking - with the percentage attached:

“81. Ohio State University, 60.4 percent
101. Crooklyn Law School, 57.3 percent;
114. Carbozo Sewer of Law, 54.3 percent;
139. George Mason University, 49.4 percent; and
174. American University, 38.3 percent.” [Emphasis mine]

Keep in mind that, until recently,American University Washington Commode of Law was perennially rated in the top 50 law schools by US “News” & World Report. Yes, what a prestigious institution of “higher learning,” huh?!?!

http://employmentsummary.abaquestionnaire.org/

The ABA Questionnaire, by Commode: By clicking on this link, you have the option to view the individual law school summary reports - or you can have the cumulative data in an Excel spreadsheet.  By the way, read this disclaimer by the ABA pigs, on this page:

“The data reported here are submitted by law schools to the ABA. The ABA assumes no responsibility for inaccuracies or for changes in such information that may occur after publication.”

What do you expect from these swine?!  They don’t even hold the member sewers accountable when they CLEARLY and KNOWINGLY publish false data.  Why the hell would they take responsibility for “inaccuracies” or “errors” that may have been reported to them by the toilets?

http://jdunderground.com/all/thread.php?threadId=67964#post944681

Other Commentary: On April 9, 2014, JDU denizen “ichininosan” started an thread labeled “Class of 2013 Employment Data.”  Check out this comment from accountholder “heythere” - from April 10, 2014 at 11:54 pm:

“Highest Number of School-Funded Jobs (class of 2013): (as a percentage of grads)

1. George Washington (88)/603 14.6%
2. Georgetown (73)/645 11.3%
3. Virginia (58)/364 15.9%
4. William & Mary (43)/217 19.8%
5. NYU (42)/537 7.8%
6. American (37)/507 7.3%
7. UCLA (31)/332 9.3%
8. Columbia (29)/437 6.6%
9. Berkeley (25)/301 8.3%
10. Illinois (20)/231 8.7%” [Emphasis mine]

Hell, beauty schools don’t need to resort to hiring such high percentages of their own graduates!  You will notice that five of the “top 14” law schools are on this ignoble list, i.e. Georgetown, UVA, NYU, Columbia, and Cal-Berkeley. Plus, UCLA is currently ranked as the 16th greatest, most amazing and wonderful law school in the nation by USN&WR.

As “fmllawyer,” another decent poster on that site wrote, on April 9th at 12:58 pm:

“GW, Georgetown, UVA, NYU, UCLA, BERKLEY?!

Who in their right mind is taking out loans for law school?! These are not the WNEs of the law school world. At one point, these schools are regarded as close to a sure bet.” [Emphasis mine]

Then again, maybe the “idiots” should have known better than to believe - and rely on - the employment figures and anecdotes crafted by the devils at these august in$tition$ of “higher education,” right?!?!  Apparently, it’s the rape victims’ fault for not doing their due diligence.

Conclusion: If you are still considering a “legal education,” then you truly are a lost cause.  Could you imagine - for one damn second - if AMA/AAMC accredited medical schools featured such pathetic employment placement rates?!?!  Students and graduates would grab scalpels, and head to the dean’s office with bad intentions.  After all, no one in their right mind would piss away several years of their life - and incur outrageous sums of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - for a 57% or 38.3% chance of working in their professional field.  In a just world, the ABA pigs would be hung up on meat hooks.

http://abovethelaw.com/2014/04/yet-another-law-school-is-offering-buyouts-to-its-tenured-professors/

Excellent News!: On April 14, 2014, Staci Zaretski posted an ATL entry labeled “Yet Another Law School Is Offering Buyouts To Its Tenured Professors.”  Check out this epic opening:

“Today has been quite the roller coaster. Layoffs here, layoffs there, rescinded offers everywhere. It certainly looks like the legal profession has a case of the Mondays.

To cap off this day of negative news, we’ve got word of yet another law school that’s offering buyouts to its tenured faculty. Yes, tenured faculty, oh my.

Which law school put this offer on the table, and how many professors are expected to take it?

Nova Southeastern Law, whose rank is not published because U.S. News is far too kind, sent letters to all of its full-time faculty members back in March to announce the buyouts. The school hopes to cap acceptances of the offered buyouts at 20 percent of its tenured faculty.

The school has unique eligibility standards for the buyouts, according to the Daily Business Review:

To become eligible, professors must achieve a “point” rating of 60, which combines age and years of service. For example, [Bruce] Rogow is 74 and has taught at Nova for 40 years, so his score is 114.

The faculty has until May 25 to decide whether to take the buyouts….” [Emphasis mine]

I am smiling from ear to ear as I type this sentence.  Yet another ABA-accredited pile of garbage is in financial trouble. If you feel any sympathy for these bitches and hags, then you are beyond pathetic.  Just think of all the lives that these cockroaches have RUINED over the course of several decades.
Now, read Zaretski’s brilliant closing:

“Also on the bright side, the Nova Southeastern law profs who decide to take the school’s retirement offer don’t even have to travel down to the state that doubles as America’s nursing home. They’re already there.”

Pig Bruce Rogow can eat dinner at 4:30 pm each night, in his own home.  I don’t imagine that the swine even has the common decency to thank the taxpayers for supporting his sorry ass for the last 40 years.

http://www.dailybusinessreview.com/id=1202650976145/Nova's-Law-School-Offering-Professors-Voluntary-Buyouts?slreturn=20140316221156#ixzz2ys6Hsb6N

Other Coverage: The Daily Business Review published reporter Julie Kay’s piece, “Nova's Law School Offering Professors Voluntary Buyouts,” on April 14, 2014.  Take a look at the following excerpt:

“After 40 years as a law professor at Nova Southeastern University, Bruce Rogow—who has taught at the school since it first opened—delivered his final lecture last week.

Rogow is one of dozens of tenured law professors to be offered buyouts by the school; Nova is also offering “voluntary separation packages” to professors at its Fischler School of Education and its Huizenga Business School.

The buyouts are an effort by the Davie-based school to save money; bring new, younger faculty into the mix; and, in the case of the law school, respond to a changing marketplace that has seen enrollment drop nationally. It is the first time Nova has offered buyouts to its faculty, said Robert Pietrykowski, vice president of human resources at Nova.

“It is not a stated objective or underlying objective to dilute the tenure track,” Pietrykowski said. “We are trying to reposition each of the schools to meet the challenges and opportunities of what’s a constantly evolving, higher education marketplace.”

Nova’s NSU Shepard Broad Law Center is not the only law school to offer buyouts to professors. Several law schools around the country, including Albany Law School, Vermont Law School and University at Buffalo Law School, have offered faculty members buyouts to shore up finances as enrollment continues to drop.” [Emphasis mine]

Does anyone else get physically sick when reading academic drivel/corporatese?  For instance, what in the hell is a “voluntary separation package”?!?!  In the end, the sewer rats are trying to force out the old farts so that they can replace them with younger, lower-paid “professors.”

Ranking: As you can see, Nova $ouTTTThea$TTTTern Univer$iTTTTy $hepard Broad Law CenTTTTer is rated as a fourth tier trash can - by US “News” & World Report.  Of course, this doesn’t prevent the vile whores from charging$35,956 in full-time tuition and fees.  What a tremendous accomplishment, huh?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+2

Average Law Student Indebtedness:US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Nova $ouTTTThea$TTTTern JD Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $133,643. Furthermore, 84 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such putrid debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

Conclusion: It is CLEAR that the law school pigs are desperate.  Then again, the pieces of excrement have milked the taxpayers dry for decades.  In the process, they have FINANCIALLY RAPED an entire generation of motivated, young people.  The academic thieves must be very proud of themselves.  We know that these sociopaths don’t lose a wink of sleep at night, thinking of their victims.  After all, in their warped minds, they are doing their students a public service.  At least, these fat heifers are going to their final destination.

Flushing a Vile Green Turd: Moody’s Wipes Its Ass With Vermont Law School

http://vtdigger.org/2014/04/17/moodys-downgrades-vermont-law-school-revenue-bonds/

The Commode is Downgraded by Two Categories: On April 17, 2014, the Vermont Digger published Anne Galloway’s piece, which was entitled “Moody’s downgrades Vermont Law School’s revenue bonds.”  Take a look at this epic opening:

“Moody’s Investors Service, an investment assessment services company, downgraded Vermont Law School’s $10.3 million in 2011 revenue bonds this week. Moody’s lowered its rating for the school’s bonds from Baa2 to Ba1 this week.

The downgrade drops Vermont Law School by two rating categories. (See chart at end of article.)

TD Bank holds the bonds, which were issued by the Vermont Educational and Health Buildings Finance Agency.

Moody’s gave the school a negative outlook because a covenant written into the debt service contract requires that the school maintain a rating of Baa2 or higher. TD Bank could demand an accelerated repayment of the debt, according to Emily Schwarz and Edith Behr, the Moody’s analysts who authored the report.

The downgrade is based on “substantial declines” in law school enrollments because of reduced national demand for juris doctorate programs and an expectation that revenues from student tuition will be lower at Vermont Law School. This loss of revenue, Moody’s says, will put pressure on the school’s cash flow and debt service coverage.” [Emphasis mine]

You’re welcome, bitches!  This truly is remarkable news. Hell, four years ago, ball-less shills kept saying that critics of “legal education” were wasting their time “crying” about the law schools.  Now, we have turned the tables on the bitches and hags.

https://www.moodys.com/research/Moodys-downgrades-Vermont-Law-School-to-Ba1-outlook-negative--PR_297223

Nuggets From the Report: On April 14, 2014, Moody’s Investor Service released a rating action labeled “Moody's downgrades Vermont Law School to Ba1; outlook negative.”  Check out this gem:

“The downgrade to Ba1 reflects continued substantial declines in JD enrollment given reduced national demand, expectations for lower net tuition revenue that will pressure cash flow and debt service coverage, and modest projected headroom on a financial covenant that may require an extraordinary release of net assets to remain compliant in the near term.

The Ba1 rating captures Vermont Law School's adequate liquidity coverage of demand debt and financial resource cushion for debt and operations, as well as management's demonstrated ability to manage through the past few years' weakened law school demand while maintaining stable cash flow. The rating also incorporates the school's small size and niche position as a standalone law school, modest financial resources, and high dependence on student charges.

The negative outlook reflects the potential for future erosion of the school's market position leading to weaker operating performance and erosion of financial covenant headroom that could jeopardize orderly access to the market or raise concerns about debt acceleration.” [Emphasis mine]

Did that info penetrate your tiny gray matter, Lemmings, shills, and law school pigs?!?!  Moody’s sees this toilet as a bad bet. They specifically mentioned the status of the free-standing law school, as well as its limited cash flow.

If you were unable to comprehend the analysis above, then check out the following synopsis, under the category labeled Challenges:

“*VLS's very small operating size ($28.2 million in revenue for FY 2013), combined with a high dependence on tuition revenue, makes the school vulnerable to even a small decline in enrollment. Operating revenue declined 4% in FY 2013 and is projected to decline further in FY 2014.

*Provisions of the Letter of Credit and Master Trust Indenture introduce potential acceleration risk. Downgrade to below investment grade permits the letter of credit bank to accelerate $3.4 million in demand bonds. While we do not anticipate a financial covenant breach in the near-term, two consecutive years of below 1.0 times debt service coverage is considered an event of default.

*Net tuition per student has stagnated or declined for four years, and is projected to decline further in FY 2014 and FY 2015.” [Emphasis mine]

In sum, get used to the idea of “early retirement,” cockroaches.  You vile bastards have been claiming for years that you are business enterprises. For $ome rea$on, the academic thieves “forgot” to mention that they were being propped up by the federally-backed, student loan $y$tem.  Now, that potential applicants have caught onto the scam - thanks to the concerted efforts of many people - the money is getting tight for the law school swine.

Ranking: According to US “News” & World Report, VermonTTT Law $chool is rated as the 129th greatest, most stupendous and amazing law school in the land.  In fact, it “only” shares this distinction with five other ABA-accredited cesspools.  What a prestigious in$TTTiTTTuTTTion of “higher education,” huh?!?!

Conclusion: VermonTTT Law Sewer is in financial trouble.  If you attend this trash pit, then you will likely end up using your law degree as toilet paper.  That is about all it will be worth shortly.  When employers hear the name of your school, they will recognize that this filthy commode has had staff cuts, faculty buyouts, and has had its revenue bond rating flushed two levels by Moody’s Investor Service.  Good luck finding decent employment coming out of this pile of rancid excrement.  The garbage heap already had a reputation lower than whale excrement.  By the way, no one gives a damn if VL$ supposedly hasthe “best environmenTTTal law program” in the country.  That is a mere marketing ploy to lure in naïve fools.

Hello, debt-strapped fools.

http://thirdtierreality.blogspot.com/2011/09/open-letter-to-jd-class-of-2014-look.html

You Chose to Ignore Sound Advice: I warned you waterheads back on September 15, 2011. Hell, Brian Tamanaha and Paul Campos– tenured law professors – had also highlighted this filthy industry by that time. David Segal’s brilliant masterpiece, “Is Law School a Losing Game,” was published by the New York Times – on January 8, 2011. In fact, it was the featured story on page 1 of the Business Section, Sunday edition. If you are about to receive that piece of toilet paper known as a law degree, then you have only yourself to blame.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Average Law Student Indebtedness: Take a look at these sickening, vile law student debt figures. If these numbers do not make you physically ill – or make your blood boil - then you are a eunuch. US “News” & World Report published a chart featuring Average Indebtedness of 2013 graduates who incurred law school debt. Let’s look at some of the biggest pigs, along with their overall USN&WR ranking:

Thomas Jefferson Law School, $180,665, 92 percent, TTTT;
New York Law School, $164,739, 84 percent, 140th “best”;
American University Washington College of Law, $158,636, 88 percent, 72nd best;
California Western School of Law, $157,748, 90 percent, TTTT;
Whittier Law School, $154,267, 92 percent, TTTT; and
Florida Coastal School of Law, $150,360, 91 percent, TTTT.

Keep in mind that these figures do not include debt from undergrad. They also do not take accruing interest into account. Who in their right mind takes on such outrageous sums to attend an ABA-accredited trash pit?!?!

http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/is_the_law_firm_pyramid_collapsing_biglaw_is_aging/?utm_source=maestro&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=weekly_email

The Crumbling Law Firm Model: On December 16, 2013, the ABA Journal posted a Debra Cassens Weiss piece labeled “Is the law firm pyramid collapsing? BigLaw is aging with more partners than associates.” From the opening:

“1988 was a peak year for associates in BigLaw.

The percentage of associates in the nation’s top 250 law firms was at its highest point that year, comprising more than 60 percent of the lawyers, Indiana University law professor William Henderson has found. Beginning in 2008, there have been fewer associates than partners in large firms.

Henderson discusses the issue in a monograph, in a post at the Legal Whiteboard and in an interview with Above the Law. “Large firms are not going extinct,” he writes at the Legal Whiteboard. “But as a matter of demographics, they are greying. If BigLaw were trading on the Nasdaq, the analysts would be very critical of this trend.”

The pyramid has been replaced by a diamond, Henderson says in the monograph, with “a relatively small number of entry-level associates, a growing bulge in the non-equity and counsel ranks, a sizable but largely invisible group of permanent staff attorneys, and a proportionately smaller equity class of partners who grow and control valuable client relationships.” In the short-term, the result is higher partner profits.

But Henderson sees the current leverage ratio as shortsighted and unsustainable in the long run. He cites a 2012 survey by American Lawyer Media in which 74 percent of managing partners forecast an increase in lateral hiring over the next five years, but only 15 percent foresaw hiring more first-year associates.“These numbers suggest that the market for lateral associates is in the process of thinning out,” he says, “and thus will not be a reliable source for high-quality legal talent.” [Emphasis mine]

Only 15 damn percent of managing partners in that 2012 survey expected to hire more first year associates. Do…you…understand…that, morons?!?! Or do you need me to draw you a diagram with Crayola on posterboard?

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2012/03/new-technology-may-spell-doom-for-new-lawyers.html

Death of the Doc Review Monkeys: Weekly magazine New York published Chris Opfer’s article, “Rise of the Machines: New Technology May Spell the End for NYC’s Bottom-Rung Lawyers,” on March 14, 2012. Check out this insightful portion:

“There's no escaping the fact that as predictive coding is used more widely, the technology will reduce the overall number of documents to be reviewed and the attorneys needed to review them. Judge [Cockroach Andrew J.] Peck noted the technology will require human review of less than 2 percent of all documents in an average case. His stamp of approval means that the document reviewer ranks may be culled sooner rather than later.” [Emphasis mine]

Surely, none of you dolts went to law school for the purpose of going into doc review. In the past, this was at least an option for those who attended garbage schools. Now, even those crumbs are being taken away from them. Then again, you can now review documents for $8 an hour.  What a thriving "profession," huh?!?!

Conclusion: In the final analysis, YOU ignored the extensive, well-researched warnings from mainstream publications, scamblogs, lawyers, judges, and a few bold professors. Now, you are facing the abyss of insane levels of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt and weak-ass job prospects. Yes, you picked an amazing time to attend law school, right?!?! If you are a member of this idiotic class, then don’t not complain to anyone about your plight. After all, you chose to chase long odds for a career in a GLUTTED, shrinking industry.

You can now spend seven years in “higher education” so that you bean uncompensated Marin County Deputy District Attorney! Who wouldn’t want to sign up for this indentured servitude position - especially when it’s located in an affluent area?! Of course, you also must do the following before even being considered: pass the California Bar Exam; work full-time; commit for a minimum of six months – and with no hope of getting hired on after your stint!

http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/job_outlook_for_newly_minted_lawyers_still_bleak_data_shows/

Overall Legal Job Placement for the Class of 2013: On April 9th, the ABA Journal posted Mark Hansen’s piece, “Job outlook for new lawyers still bleak, data shows.” From the opening:

“Fifty-seven percent of all 2013 law school graduates were employed in full-time, long-term legal jobs requiring bar passage as of Feb. 15, according to data released Wednesday by the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.

Still, that’s up slightly from last year, when 56.2 percent of all 2012 law school graduates were reported to be in full-time, long-term legal jobs requiring a law license nine months after graduation.

Another 10.1 percent of all 2013 graduates were employed in long-term, full-time jobs in which a law degree is preferred, which was also up slightly from the class of 2012, when 9.5 percent of all graduates held such jobs.

However, the percentage of 2013 graduates reported as unemployed and seeking work also rose slightly to 11.2 percent this year from last year, when 10.6 percent of 2012 graduates were reported as unemployed and seeking work.

The percentage of positions funded by law schools also increased incrementally this year from last year, from 3.9 percent for all 2012 graduates to 4 percent for the class of 2013.” [Emphasis mine]

Could you imagine if dental and medical school graduates faced such odds of entering their chosen field?!?! They would raise hell, on all fronts. In contrast, JDs seem to have passively accepted this arrangement.

http://www.post-gazette.com/business/legal/2014/04/29/Legal-Job-Market-Still-Tough-for-Law-Schools-Graduates/stories/201404290005

Pennsylvania’s Lawyer Job Market: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published an article from Zack Needles, entitled “Legal job market still tough for law school graduates.” Check out his strong opening:

“Nine months after graduation, area law schools — with the exception of the University of Pennsylvania Law School — were lucky if more than half of their graduating classes had found full-time, long-term employment that required bar passage, according to data recently released by the American Bar Association.

Those numbers were more or less in line with the national average.

As Legal Intelligencer affiliate The National Law Journal reported, only 57 percent of 2013 graduates nationwide were able to obtain long-term, full-time jobs that required bar passage. The single outlier among area schools was Penn Law, which ranked fourth nationally in that metric.

Of Penn Law’s 259 graduates, 222, or 85.7 percent, were able to secure full-time, long-term jobs that required bar passage and were not funded by the school itself, according to the ABA.” [Emphasis mine]

Yes, even the University of Pennsylvania Law School – rated as the 7th best law school in the nation, according to US “News” & World Report– could not place 14.3% of its 2013 Class into real legal jobs. What a thriving "profession," huh? Remember, this is the type of school that attracts the best applicants and students. If many of them are in this boat, then how are YOU going to fare with your TTT law degree?!?!

http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2013/04/the-jobs-crisis-at-our-best-law-schools-is-much-much-worse-than-you-think/274795/

This Was the Case Last Year, As Well: Back on April 9, 2013, Jordan Weissmann’s piece, “The Jobs Crisis at Our Best Law Schools is Much, Much Worse Than You Think,” appeared in the Atlantic. Take a look at this portion:

“The barren job market for law school grads has become a familiar reality by now. But here's something that tends to get lost in the story: The problem isn't just about no-name law schools churning out JD's nobody wants to hire. Even graduates at some of the country's top programs are struggling.

At this point, it seems, there are only a small handful of schools that could reasonably be called safe bets.

The American Bar Association recently released its annual collection of jobs placement data from all 202 accredited law schools, and the big picture was, as expected, dreadful. Nine months after graduation, just 56 percent of the class of 2012 had found stable jobs in law -- meaning full-time, long-term employment in a position requiring bar passage, or a judicial clerkship, i.e. the sorts of jobs people go to law school for in the first place. The figure had improved just 1 percent compared to the class of 2011.

Meanwhile, a full 27.7 percent were underemployed, meaning they were either in short-term or part-time jobs, jobless and hunting for work, or enrolled (read: burning cash) in another degree program.

At some of the most prestigious law schools in the country, the numbers were only marginally better. Below, I've listed the top 25 programs in the U.S. News rankings, along with their underemployment score as calculated by Law School Transparency. Past the top 9, underemployment hits double digits. Outside of the top 15, it mostly hovers around 20 percent[.] [Emphasis mine]

“Higher education” pays off for the academic thieves. The pigs view their victims as mere student loan conduits. Again, the “professors” and deans are paid up front, in you – while you are chained down with outrageous debt totals.

Conclusion: Look at the student debt figures again, people. The U.S. lawyer job market is shrinking, thanks to outsourcing, LPOs, software, greater access to case law and statutes, etc. Wait until predictive coding goes into full effect. At this point in time, you should only consider law school if you fall into one of the following three categories: preferred, protected and seriously connected. Otherwise, you will likely incur an additional $120K-$170K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt – and end up landing a job where you make less than $45K per year. Do the math, kids.

Second Tier Moist Duck Excrement: University of Oregon School of Law

http://lawadmissions.uoregon.edu/tuition/

Tuition: In-state residents attending this trash pit on a full-time basis will be charged $30,586 in tuition, for the 2014-2015 school year. Out of state, full-time law students at the Univer$iTTy of Oregon will be ass-raped at the rate of $38,056– for the 2014-2015 academic year. Who says that public toilets are affordable?!?!

Estimated Total Cost of Attendance: Based on this same document, the pigs erroneously list off-campus living expenses as $10,932. This figure should be $10,935, i.e. 12($855 + $360). Take some math lessons, simpletons. Personal expenses are estimated at $2,340. Fees amount to $512, while books and supplies add up to $1,050. An optional parking permit will run you $300 for the 2013-2014 school year. I did not include the cost of health insurance or the costs of a laptop. As such, the commode’s estimated COA for full-time, in-state law students is $45,723, and non-resident, full-time students will have a total budget of $53,193.

Keep in mind that the bitches and hags at ABA-accredited diploma mills only take nine-month costs into account, when coming up with these student budgets. Seeing that actual pupils will require 12 month expenses, we will need to prorate room and board, as well as miscellaneous costs. Doing so, we reach the following, more accurate total COA figures: $50,148 for Oregon residents attending full-time, and $57,618 for out-of-state, full-time law students. What a bargain, huh?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+5

Ranking: At such prohibitive prices, one would expect this in$TTiTTuTTion to have one hell of a reputation among the academic and legal communities. Well, according to US “News” & World Report, the Univer$iTTy of Oregon Sewer of Law is rated as the 100th greatest, most fantastic and spectacular law school in the entire country. In fact, it shares this distinct honor with the following three toilets: Florida International University; SUNY Buffalo; and the University of Hawaii. Yes, what a tremendous accomplishment, right?!?!

http://law.uoregon.edu/career/alumni/employment-statistics/

Employment Placement Statistics: On this page, the cesspool has provided its Class of 2013 Employment Statistics. As you can see, there were a total of 151 graduates in this cohort. Of that amount, 121 reported being employed, with a mere 99 saying that there in full-time, long-term positions.Who wouldn’t want to spend seven years in “higher education” for such garbage prospects?!?!

Scroll down to the chart labeled Class of 2013 Salary Information. You will note that only 49 of the 121 employed grads bothered to report their income to the school. That represents 40.5% of the lucky ones with jobs. The swine must be very proud. By the way, only 49 members of this class landed law firm positions. Who the hell enters law school for a 32.5 percent chance to work in a private law office?!

At the bottom of the screen, you will see that the rats furnished a chart comparing the employment placement rate for the classes of 2009 through 2013. The moist dung heap admits that only 80.13% of its 2013 cohort was employed, within nine months of graduation. This includes all jobs, by the way. If you went to work for State Farm Insurance or Petco, you are counted in this statistic.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+5

Average Law Student Indebtedness:USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the University of Oregon Law Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $104,775. Furthermore, 87 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such putrid debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

http://law.uoregon.edu/probono/

Opportunities to Work Without Pay: From the pigs’ own snouts and hooves:

“Pro Bono Program

The University of Oregon School of Law’s Pro Bono Program is a dynamic, award-winning program that gets results for underserved populations. A nine-time winner of the Oregon State Bar Pro Bono Challenge, (2001-2009), students represent underserved individuals and causes from housing and benefits to complicated federal civil rights matters. Though working without pay or academic credit, students gain legal skills, handle actual legal issues and work directly with clients, under attorney supervision.” [Emphasis mine]

After accumulating an additional $100K+ in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, what makes better sense than to work for free?!?! Also, when potential employers see a bunch of internships and clinic experience on your resume, the typically see you as a loser who couldn’t find a job that pays.

Conclusion: Avoid this garbage heap at all costs. You simply DO NOT NEED to financially ruin yourself so that your underworked “professors” can maintain their upper-middle class lifestyle. Plenty of other lemmings will ensure that this continues. If you have a decent job – with chances for advancement and good benefits – then remain in that position. Also, if you have a spouse or children, don’t even consider law school. Do you want your significant other to support your ass while you are enrolled, with a hopeful payoff of landing a job that pays $40K-$50K per year? Try starting a family or purchasing a home on that income level, while you owe $130K-$170K in combined student debt. In sum, don’t be a moron. You must look at law school STRICTLY as an economic decision.

Profiles in Human Excrement: Robert Illig, Law “Professor” at the University of Oregon

Due to popular demand, today’s subject is a piece of garbage named Robert Illig. This pile of human waste teaches at the University of Oregon Sewer of Law, the 100th greatest, most wonderful and elite law school in the United States.  That is the ranking from the latest edition of US "News"& World Report.

http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2014/04/oregon_law_professor_makes_wav.html

Mental Illness on Public Display: On April 16, 2014, the Oregonian published Jeff Manning’s epic piece, which was entitled“Oregon law professor's internet rant makes waves, stirs law school debate.” Read the entire article, but focus on the following excerpt:

“Young law grads across the country have struggled to find positions in a shrinking legal job market even as they leave law school with six-figure debts. According to recently released data, just 57 percent of 2013 UO law school grads found jobs that required a law license and passage of the bar. Twelve percent of the grads were unemployed and seeking work.

They left school with average debt of nearly $105,000.

[Cockroach Robert Illig] said he's already sacrificed enough for his students.

"Is this some kind of faculty version of white-man's guilt," he asked in series of posts that quickly spread across the country, including UO Matters and several prominent law blogs. "We see students without jobs and think that if we throw them a few of our dollars we can go back to our scholarship and not worry about whether they are getting real careers and real training?

"The UO and its students are lucky to have me and all the other wonderful university faculty and staff who have sacrificed to be here," Illig continued. "In my former life, I was an M&A lawyer at a large New York law firm, where I was all but certain to be earning more that $1 million annually. No one can tell me I'm not on the students' side."

Illig went on at considerable length. His emails quickly spread to higher ed and law blogs across the country, where an audience of lawyers and law professors took turns ripping llig for his sense of self-worth and entitlement. Illig was not available for comment Wednesday.” [Emphasis mine]

If you can go out and make a seven figure salary, Lying Bitch, then quit your part-time “professor” position – and go out and make those millions. Keep in mind that no law firm will pay you to sit on your ass and regurgitate the same old parsed cases. Plus, you will also need to “work” more than 4-6 hours per week, you piece of trash.

http://gawker.com/law-prof-rips-school-for-helping-poor-grads-and-not-giv-1564196317

Other Coverage: On April 17, 2014, Gawker posted an Adam Weinstein piece, which was labeled “Law Prof Rips School for Helping Poor Grads and Not Giving Him a Raise.” Check out this epic opening:

“Hell hath no fury like Rob Illig, University of Oregon securities law professor, emailing furiously for ANSWERS as to why his school is indulging in "white-man's guilt" by assisting recent graduates working in nonprofit law instead of raising his six-figure salary.

In what the local media characterized as a "wild rant," Illig insists he could be making a cool million out on The Street as an M&A lawyer, but he stays around UO because he bleeds for his students—"Today, I spent the morning trying to get one of them a summer job at Nike."

Illig, a tenured associate professor who attended law school "tuition-free" in the '90s, reportedly makes more than $138,000 annually, plus a $10,000 university bonus; the average grad at Oregon Law leaves with about $105,000 in debt.

But he can't stand for this injustice, this iniquity, of making only $100,000 or so more than his former students, while the school plans to fund "a post-graduate fellowship program for new law grads, in lieu of accepting a pay increase" for him and his colleagues. So he sent the faculty some stern letters, and the faculty leaked 'em to a bunch of blogs.” [Emphasis mine]

For $ome rea$on, Pig Robert Illig is not happy making such a heft salary – at the direct expense of his debt-strapped students’ financial future. Apparently, the swine needs more of their blood and flesh.

http://www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2014/04/ok-now-really-serious

Paul Campos delivered the following right cross to Illig’s chrome dome, in his April 15, 2014 Lawyers, Guns & Money piece, “OK, now you cannot really be serious.” Look at this hilarious portion:

“In a stunning last-minute upset, Erwin Chemerinsky and Carrie Menkel-Meadow’s NYT piece appears to have been nipped at the wire by Oregon Law School professor Rob Illig for top honors in today’s Law Profs Posting Clueless Tone-Deaf Things on the Internet contest. Illig sent a couple of emails around, bewailing a proposal by the dean to dedicate this year’s faculty raise pool to funding public interest sector fellowships for what would otherwise be unemployed grads of the school (Oregon’s employment stats are horrendous).

I’ve watched as our culture has eroded now for almost three years. Everyone is in everyone else’s business, instead of their own. Everyone is worried about what everyone else is getting, not what they can personally contribute. If some professor or professors want to donate their raise to the students – or to some other worthy charity – that’s their business. (Personally, i give to Food for Lane Country, Planned Parenthood, and the United Way. I feel that having given up the chance at a seven-figure annual income is charity enough for the students, and I am particularly saddened by hungry children. Maybe I should move that the recipients of summer stipends donate those funds to the poor and needy?) [Emphasis mine]

Seeing that you are supposedly so charitable, Robert, perhaps you can do us all a favor and wear a hat so that we are not blinded by your baldness. Then again, I would prefer if you would brush your goddamn teeth. How in the hell do you allegedly make $138K+ and not have better oral hygeine?!?!

Conclusion: Robert Illig truly is a vile, despicable human being. Just take a look at his beedy, little snake eyes.  The “man” CLEARLY DOES NOT GIVE ONE DAMN about his students, especially once they have walked with their degrees. After all, at the point they are of no use to the “professors.” The federally-backed student loan checks have cleared, and they are no longer enrolled at the school/sewage pit. Lastly, according to Paul Campos, Illig was an associate for seven years at a mid-sized Boston law firm. As such, where the hell did this bastard come up with being certain to make at least $1 million per year?!?!

First Tier Waste Bin: University of Washington School of Law

http://www.law.washington.edu/FinAid/expenses.aspx

Tuition: In-state students attending this public toilet full-time will be charged $30,891 in tuition, for the 2013-2014 school year. Non-resident, full-time victims were bent over a coffee table, at the rate of $43,932– for 2013-2014. Yes, state schools are so affordable, right?!?!

Estimated Cost of Attendance: On this same document, the pigs claim that other budget items will amount to another $18,843 in expenses. As such, the total COA for Washington residents will reach $49,734, whereas out-of-state students will be slammed with $62,775 in total costs. What a tremendous bargain!

However, ABA-accredited trash pits base their living expenses on a nine-month academic calender. Actual law students will require costs over twelve months, correct? We will pro-rate the following items, in order to reflect reality: room and board; personal expenses; and transportation. Doing so, we reach the following, more accurate estimates: $55,613 for in-state, full-time students and $68,654 for full-time, non-resident lemmings.Who wouldn’t want to attend this toilet, at this price tag?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings

Ranking: As you can see, US “News” & World Report rates the Univer$ity of Wa$hington Sewer of Law as the 24th greatest, most spectacular and amazing law school in the United States. Hell, it only shares that honor with one other law school, i.e. the College of William and Mary.

http://law.washington.edu/Career/EmploymentSummary2013.pdf

Employment Placement Statistics: Let’s review the Employment Summary for 2013 graduates at the University of Washington Sewer of Law. You will note that there were a total of 183 members of this cohort. The school supposedly has the status of everyone in the class. Of that figure, 131 were in positions where bar passage was required. Also, 22 men and women were unemployed after nine months of receiving their first tier law degree. That represents a placement rate of 88.5 percent.

At least the bitches and hags did not artificially inflate their placement figures by putting grads in law school or university funded jobs. Although, only 73 members of the 2013 class landed positions in private law firms! That means that these victims had less than a 40% chance of finding such work– and that includes the six desperate solo practitioners and the 17 who were hired in firms of 2-10 attorneys. This also takes connected kids into account – and their grades or work ethic don’t mean much.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+5

Average Law Student Indebtedness:US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the University of Washington JD Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $100,867. In fact, a mere 79 percent of this commode’s 2013 class took on such putrid debt. Remember that this figure does not include undergraduate debt – and it also does not take accrued interest into account, while the student is enrolled.

http://www.law.washington.edu/pservice/

The Commode’s Commitment to “Public Service”: In the swine’s own words:

“Public service is a core value of the UW School of Law. A key pillar of the law school’s mission to be Leaders for the Global Common Good is the commitment to Generous Public Service.

We realize our commitment to Generous Public Service in many ways. To fulfill the Juris Doctor requirement, every student performs 60 hours of public service legal work. The public service requirement provides them with the opportunity to witness the importance of public service and thereby deepens their commitment to justice and the rule of law.”

This is actually one of the hallmarks of a TTT or fourth tier trash pit. By the way, if you want to do some public service, go serve food to bums in a soup kitchen – or volunteer to read to disabled children. Hell, even the people – especially the lazy pigs in management - who get paid to do such work often don’t care about their clients. They simply need warm bodies to “serve,” in order to justify their salaries.

Conclusion: This isa trap schoolthat will not help your career prospects – especially if you are not from the state of Washington. Remember, more than one-fifth of the 2013 graduating class did not take on an additional dime of student debt. That might just be a clue that these are the same people who can rely on daddy to make a few phone calls, in order to land them a good job. In other words, their grades and class rank don’t matter, dolt. So, go out there and commit yourself to finishing in the top ten percent of your cohort. Don’t forget that you will also be competing against the occasional female lawyer with great legs and firm breasts – for the relative few openings. Good luck with that, sucker.

Again, if you want to engage in public service, go volunteer a few hours a week for a worthy cause – while you remain at a real job, i.e. one that pays the bills and provides you with some leisure time. You simply DO NOT NEED to incur an additional $110K-$160K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt to do good deeds, moron. Would you spend $20K on a big-ass diamond ring to marry some plain Jane, merely because she has high arches or freckles on her shoulders?!?! If not, then don’t even consider pissing away three years of your life – and going through financial hell – for a school that prides itself on its false commitment to “social justice.”

Slate Burns the “Versatile JD” Argument to the Ground

http://www.slate.com/articles/life/culturebox/2014/05/you_can_do_anything_with_a_law_degree_no_no_you_cannot.html

Setting the Corpse on Fire: On May 14, 2014, Jim Saksa’s ass-kicking piece, “You Can Do Anything With a Law Degree,” appeared in Slate. Check out this epic opening:

“When I was considering going to law school, I asked my dad for some advice. What if I don’t like being an attorney? What if I don’t end up like The West Wing’s Sam Seaborn, jumping between a lucrative private practice and rewarding government work? “Don’t worry,” said my usually sagacious father, “you can do anything with a law degree.”

My dad isn’t an attorney. But now I am, and let me assure you: My dad didn’t know what he was talking about.” [Emphasis mine]

Two paragraphs later, Saksa delivers a one-two combo to the law school pigs’ snouts:

“Getting a J.D. means you can call yourself a lawyer. That’s it. Besides the approval of Jewish mothers (who prefer doctors anyway) and a drinking problem, it won’t give you anything else. And it sure as hell won’t help you get a nonlegal job.

Last year, 11.2 percent of law school graduates were still unemployed nine months after graduation. If you really could do anything with a law degree, then those unemployed graduates would probably be doing something. Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate for recent college graduates was 10.9 percent. So, compared with other recent students, law school grads appear to have a leg down on the competition.” [Emphasis mine]

Do you still want to go to law school, Dumbass?!?! If so, then you likely need a brain stent. There is a now a mountain range of evidence showing conclusively that law school is a terrible bet for the vast majority of students. Later on, the author drops the hammer:

“[H]uman resource managers outside the legal world treat a J.D. as the scarlet acronym. “Generally, I imagine they’re going to be too expensive with not enough relevant experience to justify the salary,” says Maureen Chu, an HR and operations manager in D.C. She believes that law school gives candidates a competitive disadvantage. “It’s lost time. Whatever you learned in law school is not useful to what we need. So every other candidate has three years on you.”

In the last few months, I’ve interviewed for jobs at a nonprofit, a think tank, and a PR firm among other places of business. I know from personal experience that the first question a lawyer will hear in a nonlegal job interview is, “Why don’t you want to practice law?” My answer to that question always elicits, “Well, you know we don’t pay as much as a law firm, right?” A law degree makes an otherwise qualified candidate look expensive, and often carries a rotten whiff of failure.” [Emphasis mine]

Did you read that, Lemming?!?! Now, do you understand how non-legal HR managers view law grads applying for non-law positions? Here’s another thing to ponder, waterhead: when these men and women see a bunch of internships on your resume, they immediately think “Loser.” After all, if you worth a damn, then you would have been getting paid to do legal work – instead of shelling out tuition for garbage placements.

http://thepeoplestherapist.com/2010/11/03/extremely-versatile-crockery/

The Lie Was Laid to Rest Years Ago: Former Biglaw associate, and current psychotherapist, Will Meyerhofer posted an article entitled “Extremely Versatile Crockery,” on his blog back on November 3, 2010. Check out his opening statement:

"For the record, a law degree is not “versatile.” Being a lawyer amounts to a strike against you if you ever decide to pursue another career.

So why do people keep insisting it’s an “extremely versatile degree”?

A bunch of reasons.

Law schools are in it for the money. Teaching law doesn’t cost much, but they charge a fortune – made possible by not-dischargable-in-bankruptcy loans. That makes each law school a massive cash cow for the rest of the university. Money flowing from the law school pays the heating bill for the not-so-profitable Department of Neo-Structuralist Linguistics.

Law students play along with the “extremely versatile degree” farce to justify the three years of their life and the ungodly pile of cash they’re blowing on a degree they’re not interested in and know nothing about. This myth is also intended to calm down parents. You need a story to explain why you don’t have a job, but that it’s somehow okay.

No one else cares. And that’s chiefly why this old canard still has some life left in it.

Time to put it out of its misery.” [Emphasis mine]

Meyerhofer put this rubbish “argument” to rest back in November 2010. Saksa set fire to the remains of this detritus-covered filth, nearly three and a half years later.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Average Law Student Indebtedness: Do you want to take out $180,665 in additional NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, in order to receive a JD from Fourth Tier Trash Pit TTTThoma$ Jeffer$on Sewer of Law?! Perhaps, you want to incur another $145,893 in student loans for a law degree from Pepperdine University, the 54th “greatest” commode in the country – as listed by US “News” & World Report. Remember, these figures do not take interest that accrues while you are enrolled into account.

Conclusion: Seeing that there is a plethora of information out there, regarding the law school scam, this choice is simple: don’t even consider a “legal education.” If you still believe that YOU are going to somehow beat the immense odds, then you should be declared mentally unfit to enter into a contract. Hell, you should not be permitted to make a decision that has the potential to affect another person.

Profiles in Tone Deaf Bitch Syndrome: Trash Pit Deans Stephen Ferruolo and Niels Schaumann

http://www.sddt.com/news/article.cfm?SourceCode=20140520czl&_t=Rising+tuition+puts+value+of+law+degree+under+microscope#.U36FDPldWSo

The Rodents’ Excrementitious Case for Law School: On May 20, 2014, the San Diego Daily Telegraph published a Doug Sherwin piece entitled “Rising tuition puts value of law degree under microscope.” Look at this stellar opening:

“With law school tuition continuing to rise and starting salaries for attorneys experiencing little movement, the value of a legal education has come under intense scrutiny recently.

The local law school deans say that even with the recent tightening of the job market, a law degree's worth is as high as it's always been.

"Personally, I think it opens up so many opportunities," said Stephen Ferruolo, dean of the University of San Diego School of Law. "The great thing about legal education is that if you're not in the sciences or medicine, it's the most rigorous graduate education. It's the best way to prepare for a whole variety of things." [Emphasis mine]

What do you expect these pieces of trash to say?! It’s not as though they are inclined to telling the truth. By the way, Cockroach Stephen Ferruolo: there is a plethora of articles – written by practitioners, not academics - showing that a law degree is not versatile. This piece then continues:

"I think one of the biggest defects in the current critique of legal education is that they measure its value nine months after graduation, and that's wrong," said Niels Schaumann, California Western School of Law's dean. "There's nothing magical about that date.

"The reality is there have been more responsible economic studies that have been done that show a net positive result from a J.D. over (many) years."

USD's Ferruolo acknowledged the rising price of a legal education combined with the lack of a reciprocal rise in starting salaries makes it easy to dismiss the value proposition of a law degree.

According to figures released in 2011, the most recent numbers available, the average debt incurred by a law school graduate is $100,584. Meanwhile, the starting salaries offered by medium-sized law firms is between $110,000-$120,000, according to Ferruolo, and that number dips to $75,000-$85,000 in the smaller firm or public agency sector.” [Emphasis mine]

Relying on a TT law dean, i.e. Ferruolo, for such figures is the equivalent of asking a child molester if he can watch your child tonight, so that you can go to the movies. Small firms tend to start their associates at $35K-$50K per year, and this is about the same for public agencies as well. Stephen Ferruolo pulled those numbers out of his wrinkly, gray ass.  Niels, you are correct in pointing out the obvious. There is nothing magical about nine or ten months from commencement. So why don’t you law school pigs and the state bar associations require graduates to take part in a longitudinal study to see where they are at 5-10 years our or longer?!?!

Plenty of JDs land work within the nine month window, and then lose their job shortly afterward. Many of those who do land legal lawyer positions are shown the door within a few years. I suspect the reason you cockroaches don’t track graduates after that NALP timeline is because you KNOW that the figures would show that law school is an even worse bet for students.

The Commodes’ Respective Rankings: As you can see, the University of San Diego Sewer of Law is rated as the 79th greatest, most wonderful and amazing law school in the country, by US “News” & World Report. What an academic powerhouse, huh?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+7

If you thought that was pathetic, check out the ranking for California Western School of Law. According to the same publicaTTTion, this school is listed as a fourth tier pile of excrement. I have a question for Cal Western grads: When you tell people that you received a law degree from this garbage pit, how often do they laugh right in your face?

http://www.sandiego.edu/law/financial-aid/cost-of-attendance/index.php#JD

What the Pigs Charge to Attend These Toilets: The Univer$iTTy of $an Diego Sewer of Law has set tuition at $47,140 for full-time student, for the 2013-2014 academic year. The vile swine are “only” charging part-time victims $34,850 in tuition for 2013-2014. You can view the total cost of attendance on the same page. Keep in mind that the whores base their living expenses on a nine-month calendar.

http://www.cwsl.edu/main/default.asp?nav=admissions.asp&body=admissions/tuition.asp

Full-time law students at California We$TTTTern Sewer of Law will be charged $44,700 in tuition, for the 2013-2014 school year. Those attending this pile of rot on a part-time basis will be bent over a coffee table, at the rate of $31,300 for the current academic year. What a great bargain, in order to be a student at a prestigious fourth tier in$TTTTiTTTTuTTTTion of “higher education,” right?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Average Law Student Indebtedness at Each Garbage School: According to this ranking from USN&WR, the California Western JD Class of 2013 had the FOURTH HIGHEST average loan indebtedness for law school! Ninety percent of this cohort incurred an additional $157,748 in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, for a TTTT law degree.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+2

The same magazine lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the USD Law Class of 2013 who incurred debt for law school - as $128,731. Then again, at this commode, a mere 87 percent of this group took on such putrid debt. Remember that these figures does not include undergraduate debt or accrued interest, while the student is enrolled.

Conclusion: Both of these sick dogs should be repeatedly kicked in the nuts, and then placed in a small cage. Think of how well both of these bastards are doing on the public dole – while consigning young graduates to a lifetime of debt servitude. You know that neither of these disgusting turds misses a wink of sleep at night, pondering the lives that they have financially ruined.
